The group Seguidoras de Cristo e Hijas de Maria (Followers of Christ and Daughters of Mary) was founded in 1995 through the enthusiasm and vision of Lolita Loza to address the evangelization and spiritual growth needs of Hispanic women who came to live in Michigan because of their husband's jobs, mostly in the automotive industry. From 1995 to 1999 the meetings were in different homes and when the group started growing we needed to look for new options.

Msgr. John Budde and the Holy Family Community kindly invited us to have our weekly Spanish Bible class at the church. We have been gathering there every Friday morning since 1999.

The Hispanic Women's Group meets to study the Word of God and issues relating to our faith from 10:00am a 12:00pm at the Family Center. This Group is open to all women who want to grow in their faith. Immediately after class, there is a fellowship until 2:00pm Childcare during class.

Join this group each Friday throughout the year. There are some breaks in the spring, summer and winter.

For more information contact the Coordinator of this group: Janette Chaparro or the Hispanic Ministry Office.
